FAQs

Can I order just a frame without lenses?

Yes, just click on the frame of your choice, then “Select lenses and purchase”, then choose “Frame Only”.

Do you double check my order for accuracy before shipping it to me?

Yes, your order is triple checked by a Licensed Optician with over a decade of experience before it is packaged and shipped to you.

I want to order, but I do not have a copy of my prescription. What should I do?

We recommend that you retrieve a copy of your glasses or contact lenses prescription before placing an order. This is to ensure that you are wearing the most current prescription for the best visual clarity and to reduce eye strain/headaches. You can upload your prescription to the website after you select a frame. You can also email it to customerservice@serenityoptical.com.

Can I use my contact lens prescription to order glasses?

A contact lens prescription is not the same as a glasses prescription and can not be used as a substitute.

Do you sell bifocal/progressive multifocal lenses?

Yes, we sell bifocal (lined) and progressives (no-line) multifocal lenses.

What if the doctor said that I have a “High prescription”, what should I choose?

If your prescription is -4.00 and above or +3.00 and above, it is in your best interest to select the Hi-index lens. This will give you the best clarity for your prescription, as well as produce a thinner and lighter lens for you.

What is this “AR” or “No Glare” or anti-reflective coating?

It helps to reduce glare and reflections. It also will reduce the glare that shows up on your pictures while wearing your glasses.

What are transition, photochromic or light-responsive lenses?

This awesome feature will allow your lenses to turn dark when you walk outside and will return to clear once you return inside. We also have the XTRActive lenses that will turn dark in your car as well.

What is BluGARD or that blue-light thing that everyone is talking about?

Blue light is the part of the visible light spectrum that contains the highest energy. Because of its high energy, blue light has more potential to cause harm to the eye than other visible light. A convenient way to reduce your blue light exposure is to add a blue light filter to your glasses to aid in protecting your eyes from the harmful light that is emitted from your electronic devices.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only offer US shipping. However, continue to check back as we grow, expand, and add additional services.

How long will it take for my glasses to arrive?

If your glasses pass inspection, they should arrive within 14 business days. If there is anything that will prevent this from happening, we will notify you.

Are eyeglasses FSA and HSA eligible?

Yes, glasses and contact lenses are considered medical devices and are FSA and HAS eligible.

What if my frames need adjusting after I get them?

You can take them to your local optical shop, and they will adjust them for you. If they say it will be a charge, go to another optical because 99% of the time this is a free service.

Can I use my vision insurance when I buy from you?

Yes, we are considered an Out-of-Network provider and as a result you pay upfront, submit your receipt to your insurance company and they should reimburse you according to the terms of your plan.
